Australia's third busiest port with over 8,200 m. of dock line. The port is managed by Port of Brisbane Pty Ltd and is a major container port. Principal exports are bulk petroleum products, coal, cereals, meat, silica sand, iron and steel, tallow, cotton, woodchips, mineral ores, timber, paper and food. Imports include crude oil, industrial chemicals, machinery, cement, iron and steel, motor vehicles, gypsum, paper and pulp, food, oilseed and electrical equipment.
