Port Code: AUPTIA community port used mainly by tourist vessels visiting the islands and reef, fishing vessels and recreational craft. It is a small natural harbour behind Island Point within the confines of Dickson Inlet. Port Douglas has a number of small fishing wharves, two marinas and provides safe refuge for anchored or moored vessels upstream. Port Douglas is not a compulsory pilotage area. However, the anchorages are situated in the compulsory reef pilotage area of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park.
