Port Code: AOCapital city of Namibe Province, formerly known as Mocamedes. It is an important fishing and dry cargo port, handles general and containerised cargoes, and serves the hinterland from Namibe to Menongue and through to the city of Lubango. Porto Saco (Porto Salazar) lies on the opposite side of the bay, and handles iron ore.
