Comprises one port with Quequen on the NE bank and Necochea on the SW bank of the river. Berths No. 0–6 are in Quequen and berths No. 7–12 in Necochea. Major regional exporter of grain and grain by-products. Also handles chemicals, fertiliser, petroleum products and fishing boats.
