0 Data Introduction
Shanghai Maili Marine Technology Co., Ltd. is the first company to focus on the applications of ship AIS big data technology in China. Its HiFleet platform is famous for the domestic shipping data, ship dynamic monitoring and security management, commodity maritime trade data and charter services.
All the data of this annual report are derived from the HiFleet ship safety management platform. Using the electronic fence technology, the time points and times of the ship entering and leaving the dock from January 1,2020 to December 31,2020 are counted, and the initial data are screened as follows:

Count only ships with standard IMO numbers.

Only four categories of container ships, bulk carriers, petroleum chemical vessels (including refined oil, oil and gas, etc.) and other ship types (general cargo ships, ro-ro ships, cruise ships and other liquid ships) are counted.

The record of the same ship entering the same shipyard many times in half a year is recorded once, and twice for more than half a year.
After the above, the total number of docking inspection in 2020 is 22250.
1 Spatial distribution
In 2020, China, the Netherlands and Japan are the top three countries in the world. Among them, China is dominant, the number of repair-ships is much higher than that of other countries, including the Netherlands and Japan, accounting for 35.40 percent of all docking inspections in the world, and the Netherlands and Japan account for 11.62 percent and 10.02 percent respectively.
Jiangsu Province, Zhejiang Province and Shanghai are the top three provinces in 2020. Zhejiang Province is mainly based on the shipyards of Zhoushan City, Jiangsu Province is mainly based on the Shi Industrial Heavy Machinery (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd, Jiangsu Huaxia Heavy Industry Co., Ltd.
2 Time trends
It can be seen from the figure that the overall trend of the global ship-repair volume is not large, The peak mainly appeared in one, three, six, July, December relatively fewer. The main ship types are oil-chemical ship and bulk carriers, and container ships are relatively fewer.
Compared with the global trend of time change, China's peak period also mainly appeared in January, March, June, July, February and December relatively fewer. The main ship types are oil-chemical ship and bulk carriers, and the container ships are relatively fewer.
In addition, in 2020, There were 195 Japanese ships went to China for repairing, of which the number of repair-ship in May, July and October were more than that in February, March and December.

The remaining eight shipyards, including China Shi Industrial Heavy Machinery (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., are mainly bulk_tanker overhauling.
By the same token, China's top 10 shipyards are ranked as follows, the top three are the Shi industry heavy machinery (Jiangsu) Co., Ltd., Zhoushan Longshan Shipyard Co., Ltd., and Shanhaiguan Shipbuilding heavy Industry Co., Ltd..
4 Introduction of Ship Owner under Different Ship Type
The top three shipowners in the world by 2020 are Reitaku Kaiun Co Ltd in Japan、 Switzerland's Wilson ASA and the Netherlands' Amasus Shipping BV, respectively. Among them ,821 ships in Reitaku Kaiun Co Ltd are petroleum chemical ships, and the remaining shipyards are mainly of other ship types.
China's top three shipowners are China Ocean Shipping Group, Yantai Guangtong International Trade Co., Ltd. and Yantai Jinhai Trading Co., Ltd., of which Cosco' s ship type is mainly container ships, Yantai Guangtong International Trade Co., Ltd.
