  1. I am a free user, why can't I see the latest ship position on the website?

A: Free users can only see limited AIS data . Satellite AIS and D-AIS are for paid users. So please upgrade your account.

  1. I am a paiduser. Is it because of theMaster vessel that there is no data update?

A: Not necessarily because of AIS signal on the vessels, but maybe because of the sea area and clouds passing by, which may affect the satellite receiving AIS data, or there is no shore-based station coverage near the land. You can apply for DTU ship based equipment from us to achieve second-level tracking of the ship.

  1. Why are the MMSI and IMO of thevessel I searched for correct, but the name of the ship is wrong?

A: There are many kinds of vessel name errors, which may be due to the fact that the ship name has been modified and not saved in the historical database, and the ship particular has not been updated. You can contact our customer service staff to solve the problem!

  1. Why is the position I checked far from the actual sailing position, and there is a situation that the position jumps back and forth between two places far away?

A: It may be caused by vessel identity misrepresentation. Please provide the specific ship information and the current sailing position to our customer service.

  1. What is the difference between shore-based AIS and satellite AIS?

A: The shore-based AIS can only receive the data of ships in the coastal area of 30-50 nautical miles, while the satellite AIS can receive the data of ships all over the world, covering a wide range.

  1. What is the traffic vessel data?

A: It means that after zooming in on the local waters (scale up to 5 nautical miles), you can see the real-time dynamics of all vessels in the waters.
